Writing Stories of Love, Faith and Happy Endings While Enjoying the Journey

About Me

009Hello,

My name is Jill Weatherholt and I’m a writer. I have a full time job, but at night and on the weekend, I pursue my passion for writing. I write modern stories about love, friendship and forgiveness. I started this blog as a way to share my journey toward publication and to create a community for other new writers and artists.

Raised in the Washington, DC area, I’ve lived in Charlotte, North Carolina since 2004. I hold a degree in Psychology from George Mason University and a Certification in Paralegal Studies from Duke University.

My first book, SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE, published by Harlequin Love Inspired released on February 21, 2017.

  3. Hi Jill. Stopping by to thank you for following my blog. I saw your post on Pauline, whom I adore. Since you are all about the writing, I’ll have to follow you a bit and see how much I can learn. I love to learn even at my age. I have no credentials, just courage to put it all out there. More than anything, I’d like to be a better writer. Thanks again.

  4. What wonderful news, Jill. I’m glad to hear the new treatment is helping. I hope it will continue for a long, long time.

Congratulations on the acceptance of your story. That’s great news. I’ve just started going through the old photos I’d thrown in boxes. We have several good lighthouses on the Washington coast. If I find a photo, I’ll send you a copy. I few years ago my family spent a few days in the lighthouse keeper’s house at Cape Disappointment at the mouth of the Columbia River. A delightful vacation! Here’s a link to some photos. http://www.lighthousefriends.com/light.asp?ID=115

  6. Hi Fellow Blogger, I was nominated today for a “Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award?” I was asked to nominate seven bloggers myself, create a post or page, and include a link back to the blog of the person who nominated me. I have done as requested, and I am now nominating you. If you are inclined to take part you can follow this link to the page I created with my responses and all the information you will need. If you don’t want to take part…no worries. God bless. Kathy

  21. Hi. I just wrote a comment on your latest post about your article in Southern Writers Magazine but had trouble commenting – this is what I wrote:

Jill, what a lovely welcome to North Carolina – I love how everyone waved as you were looking for your house! What a wonderful collaboration between the magazine and writers and I’m glad it’s been so supportive in your writing career. Wishing you best of luck in for your future writing and may the books keep being written and printed!

    • You’re so sweet to go the extra mile, Annika. I know, sometimes it’s difficult to leave messages on the Southern Writer’s blog. Yes, it was great when we first came to Charlotte. I wasn’t used to everyone waving. Sadly, the waving isn’t as frequent. I think it’s due to more transplants, like myself, moving here. LOL! Thank you so much for all of your support. You’re a gem!

  22. Wow! I had 2 surprises while reading your blog. The first was that you are the author of a Love Inspired book. I enjoy those books a lot! Congratulations! Wishing you the best as you continue to write! Writing is such a wonderful gift to have! Glad that I found your blog!

My other surprise was seeing a post about Colin and Ray!!I left a comment under that post. πŸ™‚

  23. Hi Jill. I read your novel “Second Chance Romance” and thoroughly enjoyed it. As I commented on my Amazon review, a romance/faith inspired story is not my usual cup of tea. But I really found myself invested in the two main characters. I looked forward to retiring to bed every night to read the next chapter. I believe your characters are interesting enough to warrant a prequel or a sequel. I would read either one!
