Writing Stories of Love, Faith and Happy Endings While Enjoying the Journey

005I hadn’t planned on posting this week, but yesterday, I received an email from a Harlequin editor who works in their UK office. She also runs the SOLD! Blog for Harlequin and wanted to let me know my CALL STORY was going live today. I thought I’d share the link, if you’re interested in reading and commenting.

Unfortunately, I’ll be late to the party. Today I’m having a colonoscopy to make sure the Remicade infusions are keeping the Crohn’s Disease in check. I see second helpings of turkey in my future.

I’d like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends and their families.

  7. Jill, I had no idea you had Crohn’s Disease. Oh, my goodness–we should chat, gal. (Our family walked a similar valley with one of our children several years ago. Surgeries, Remicade, and certainly, a time of testing. My blog post “Hope in the Hard Stuff” may encourage you.)

Today I’m sending you good vibes and I’m praying blessings over you, your health, and your writing ministry.

Congratulations on your recent publishing accomplishment! (((HUGS)))

There were sweet moments with the baby and the little M&M girls. Mom was happy to talk to my son, food was great, (most prepared by son and my brother) with weather warm and beautiful. My youngest daughter captured the girls asleep on their way home, riding back, DIL, son, youngest daughter, baby Hendrix and girls in one van. 🙂
        Lazy two days after. . . ♡♡

Yes, meeting Laurel along the way was an extra bonus. We were the only winners who didn’t have a previous published book, so we’ve been helping each other along the way.

  31. Hey there Jill, you never fail to inspire me. I followed the link to the Call Stories, and wow. Every author’s story (but especially yours) got me thinking I have nothing to lose. What amazes me most was you didn’t even have a novel written! Just a blurb and a mess of a NaNoWriMo document. I’ve been tinkering off and on with my romance novel for over five years: start, stop. Start, stop. It’s time to just write it, one page at a time. I hope all went well with your testing and you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. What a year you have to look back on and so much to be thankful for!

    • Hi Gwen! It’s so good to see you. Thank you for taking the time to read all of the Call Stories. They’re fun to read. You’re right, I didn’t have a novel when I entered the blurb2book contest. I had a head-hopping mess on my hands. 🙂 I could have tinkered with it for years and years, but the contest forced me to get it written in a short period of time.
My advice to you, enter what you’ve written into contests. Some contests may want your first page, some the first chapter, but get those pages out there. The advice you’ll receive is invaluable.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! See you on FB! ❤
