Writing Stories of Love, Faith and Happy Endings While Enjoying the Journey

My First Ten Days of NaNoWriMo

Day 1: “I exceeded my daily word goal of 1667. I love November!”
Day 2: “Why am I torturing myself?”
Day 3: “Who needs an outline, I’m a born panster!”
Day 4: “It’s Sunday, isn’t this the day of rest?”
Day 5: “It’s Monday and my story stinks.”
Day 6: “I’m still on track.”
Day 7: “This is harder than I remember.”
Day 8: “I’m a writing machine! I could finish by November 23rd.”
Day 9: “Should I have my main character get hit by a bus?”
Day 10: “I’ve reached 17,279 words today. I can do this!”

  1. This is great! Definitely a gamut of emotions this month for many! Keep it up and you will reap the rewards!

  2. I hear ya! I’m not doing NaNoWriMo, but I go through this roller coaster weekly during the daily writing process. Keep up the great effort! Good word count, too!

  3. Thanks, Jolsye! I need all of the encouragement I can get. 🙂 I feel in good company to know that you experience the roller coaster as well. One day I feel like I know what I’m doing and where the story is going and the next, I know nothing. 🙂 Glad you and your family are safe!

  4. I love this! It is a roller coaster, oh my goodness. You’re on track, and still rolling! 🙂
